Generally what language are device drivers written in?
For example printer, mouse, webcam, USB key, external HD, monitor, PDA cradle, network card etc. device drivers.
(I’d be guessing assembly?)
It used to be strictly assembly, but with the power of languages such as C#, etc, I believe a device driver could actually be written in one of the higher-level languages. (I think that even the latest version of Visual Basic has that ability, to create a DLL, etc.)
